Maltese are toy-sized dogs known for their silky long white or cream-colored hair. As it nearly touches the floor, it appears that they are gliding on air while they move. With medium-sized heads with rounded skulls, they have hanging ears, tapered muzzles and dark noses. Due to their plumed tails which are carry over their backs they have an aristocratic look. If one would like to own a Maltese, familiarization is important especially with the breed standard which should reflect on the dog meaning it is genuine and of quality.
